I am not going to say anything new, or anything that you have not yet read before. All I am going to add is a few more questions. For people who don’t know who Asifa was, and why are we talking about her.
Question 1 : Is Asifa’s case really relevant to you, as a non-Muslim?
Answer:
This is a harsh question, isn’t it? Like you are a citizen of India, who on Earth will think that an 8-yr-old getting raped in your own country is not relevant to you. So we have ‘Yes’ as an answer right? Oh, I forgot to mention, she was a Kashmiri, and most importantly a Muslim. I think we need the feature of unsending responses like Whatsapp here, right? Oh! We have more questions. I am no one to judge. The next one is for everyone, don’t get disheartened.
Question 2 : Is Asifa’s case relevant to you at all?

This will be an interactive one. Where are you right now? home or office or <just-a-place-we-don’t-need-to-know>? What are you doing? <pick-any-verb> and, you’re reading this article. Because it someway slipped into your newsfeed, and like any article, you’ll share it, remove it after 24 hours, to show solidarity towards the issue. Am I judging you? Yes! because most of us actually woke up after seeing the facebook post. If you read newspapers in India, you’ll see news clippings, of at least 4 rape cases daily, all on page 3-4. You don’t find them on cover page. Comeon! TRP? you haven’t heard of the term? Whole world works on this principle. More is the popularity of the issue, more is the mutual gain. I was never here with answers. Just questions. Stopped doing your “some-ing”? Now Asifa is relevant. She must be happy.
